A sensory garden for children with autism for the Union community hall: help our neighbors in Leeds
Volunteers in Leeds are raising $3,000 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Union community hall.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,000.
It will serve about 384 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Materials: $1,950
• Permits and inspections: $250
• Safety equipment and signage: $420
• Tools hire and delivery: $380
