A sensory garden for children with autism: a volunteer-led effort in Peshawar
Volunteers in Peshawar are raising $300 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Liberty community hall.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 432 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $230
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
With deep gratitude,
Junaid

Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Thane donated after I showed her your page. Love from Thane.
Sending good thoughts, Junaid. This could happen to any of us. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Wollongong.
praying for you, Junaid. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Mumbai donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
