For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $800. It will serve about 387 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $800 goes: • Materials: $550 • Permits and inspections: $60 • Safety equipment and signage: $110 • Tools hire and delivery: $80 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care
