A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Jakarta Selatan
Volunteers in Jakarta Selatan are raising $100 for a repair café workshop at Pioneer Park.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $100.
It will serve about 503 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $100 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
• Permits and inspections: $25
Thank you for reading my story.
