A rainwater harvesting system for the Baobab community hall: help our neighbors in Los Angeles
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at the Baobab community hall that will serve 575 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $3,750.
It will serve about 575 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Permits and inspections: $160
• Tools hire and delivery: $590
