A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Zagazig
Volunteers in Zagazig are raising $450 for a rainwater harvesting system at the Sycamore vacant lot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 421 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Materials: $310
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
