A playground for the old Baobab bus depot: help our neighbors in Mardan
A community-led a playground at the old Baobab bus depot that will serve 307 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 307 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $250
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
