A playground for Lotus Primary School: help our neighbors in Columbus
Volunteers in Columbus are raising $3,250 for a playground at Lotus Primary School.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,250.
It will serve about 312 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Materials: $2,450
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Tools hire and delivery: $510
