A covered market stall space for the Freedom vacant lot: help our neighbors in Cambridge
A community-led a covered market stall space at the Freedom vacant lot that will serve 393 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $3,250.
It will serve about 393 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Materials: $2,250
• Permits and inspections: $185
• Safety equipment and signage: $320
• Tools hire and delivery: $495
