A covered market stall space for Lotus Park: help our neighbors in San Fernando
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $600 for materials.
Anywhere in the world702 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Park, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 507 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $500
• Permits and inspections: $75
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
Every share and every dollar helps.
