A community garden for the Union community hall: help our neighbors in Ottawa
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $3,300 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,300.
It will serve about 102 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Materials: $2,650
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Safety equipment and signage: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $175
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
