A community fridge for the Harmony vacant lot: help our neighbors in Petrópolis
Volunteers in Petrópolis are raising $500 for a community fridge at the Harmony vacant lot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 597 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $270
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Safety equipment and signage: $120
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
Thank you so much.
