Yvonne Ernestina Osei
Traditional drumming player and teacher in Tarkwa
- 🇬🇭 Tarkwa, Western, Ghana
- Tarkwa Quartet
- Since 1987
- English, Twi
I play traditional drumming and folk music. I started in 1987 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 11 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Yvonne
I write my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.
