Tariq Ahmed Saleh
History and mathematics teacher, Cairo

- English, Arabic
I teach history at Hope Middle School in Cairo since 1991. Most days I teach mixed-ability classes, and I never turn anyone away.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Tariq: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
