Sosina Fikir Kahsay
Professor of marine biology, Bahir Dar Institute of Technology
- 🇪🇹 Bahir Dar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Bahir Dar Institute of Technology
- 1987 to 2011
- English, Amharic
I taught marine biology at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology from 1987 to 2011, and supervised 16 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I fix old bicycles.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Sosina
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Sosina: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
