For 27 years I was the economics teacher at Parkside High School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mrs. Yıldırım
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Yıldırım: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
