Margaret Chebet Ssemwogerere
Painter, potter and teacher at The Arusha Studio
- 🇹🇿 Arusha, Arusha, Tanzania
- The Arusha Studio
- 2013 to 2025
- English
I work mostly in calligraphy, sometimes oil painting. My first show was in 2013 at The Arusha Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at The Arusha Studio, which keeps me honest.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Margaret
I've had 8 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Margaret: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
