I play oud and singing. I started in 1991 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 16 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm always reading two books at once.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

I write my first song when I was 14. It was terrible and I still love it.
