Kioko Musyoka Macharia
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Riverside Workshop
- 2000 to 2024
- English, Swahili
I'm a thatching specialist. If you live around Kampala, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Kioko
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
