Faith Namukasa Mwesigwa
Oud player and teacher in Arusha
- 🇹🇿 Arusha, Arusha, Tanzania
- Jacaranda Orchestra
- Since 2016
- English
I play oud and traditional drumming. I started in 2016 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 13 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm always reading two books at once.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Faith
I write my first song when I was 16. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Faith: Any gift will help me keep teaching kids who can't afford lessons.
