Enes Orhan Yıldız
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- 1992 to 2007
- English
I've worked in thatching from 1992 to 2007. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 500 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I answer every message, eventually.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Enes
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Enes: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 2020 and charged half what others asked! Greetings from São Paulo.
