I've coached swimming at Ikeja Liberty Boxing Gym since 1998. Most of my players were between 11 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Chukwuemeka
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
