Byung-hun Kyung-soo Heo

Youth badminton coach and mentor

  • 🇺🇸 Bellevue, Washington, United States
  • Maple Ridge Community Club
  • 1983 to 2018
  • English, Korean
I coached badminton at Maple Ridge Community Club from 1983 to 2018. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

What gifts mean to Byung-hun: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
