I coached boxing at Lagos Maple Ridge Boxing Gym from 2003 to 2011. Most of my players were between 9 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Abubakar
If you played for me, you probably remember that terrible school play.
What gifts mean to Abubakar: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
