Zaid needs my tuk-tuk repaired to get back to work in Riyadh
Zaid's my tuk-tuk is Zaid's only source of income and needs a clutch assembly replacement costing $1,050.
🇸🇦 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia2,003 views
I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 6 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,050. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $175
• Labor charges: $105
• clutch assembly replacement (parts): $770
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending strength, Zaid. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.

Thank you. If you're in Riyadh I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for looking so closely.
