Yash's final semester of an electrical engineering diploma in Lucknow
A first-generation student, Yash needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an electrical engineering diploma.
🇮🇳 Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India835 views
Yash is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at the Lucknow Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $750.
The registrar has said Yash can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Yash has a first-class average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Yash would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Yash isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $750 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $490
• Exam and lab fees: $50
• Final term tuition: $210
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
