Xiang needs a commercial oven to reopen a neighborhood bakery
Xiang has run a neighborhood bakery for nine years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $3,400 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Bakersfield. In February, a fire in the building took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $2,050
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $380
• Shop repairs and licensing: $480
• Working capital for the first month: $490
If you're reading this, thank you.

Rooting for you, Xiang. Hope you get there. All the best.
Small businesses are the heart of Bakersfield. Hope you're open again soon. Love from Newcastle upon Tyne.
hope the shop reopens soon. Don't give up.
Hope it all works out, Xiang. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. After 7 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
wishing you the best. Small businesses are the heart of Bakersfield. Hope you're open again soon
