Willem needs my taxi repaired to get back to work in Johannesburg
Willem drives for a living in Johannesburg, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 4 weeks.
🇿🇦 South Africa1,749 views
I make my living with my taxi. 4 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $450 goes:
• Labor charges: $85
• gearbox replacement (parts): $330
• Towing and inspection: $35
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
