Wayne needs my food truck repaired to get back to work in Ottawa
Wayne's my food truck is Wayne's only source of income and needs a transmission replacement costing $650.
🇨🇦 Ontario, Canada640 views
I make my living with my food truck. 4 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $650. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $650 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $350
• Towing and inspection: $130
• Labor charges: $170
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
Updates from Wayne
Thank you all. We're at 15% now ($96). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward labor charges.
