Víctor needs a commercial oven to reopen a neighborhood bakery
A neighborhood bakery in Cali needs help replacing a commercial oven after floodwater.
🇨🇴 Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia987 views
For six years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Cali. In January, floodwater took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $600 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $95
• Replacing a commercial oven: $420
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $85
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
Updates from Víctor
Small update. $362 so far, I made the first payment toward initial stock: flour, butter and sugar.

Praying for you, Víctor. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Cali
Sending love. Small businesses are the heart of Cali. Hope you're open again soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
Sending good thoughts, Víctor. Your post was clear and honest. I'll check back for the next update.
Stay strong, Víctor. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Hyderabad.
