Valve repair surgery for Ashok: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled valve repair surgery in June is out of reach without help covering $1,000 of the cost.

Ashok was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in March. The surgeon at Jaipur Orthopedic Institute recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,000, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,000 short.
my son has been in and out of Jaipur Orthopedic Institute since March. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ashok struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Ashok won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
