Uche has worked and saved for three years to study a diploma in hospitality management; a $550 gap now stands between her and graduation.

Uche is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Lagos University, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550.
The registrar has said Uche can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Uche has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Uche would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Uche isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Lagos University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $550 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $310
• Final term tuition: $170
• Exam and lab fees: $20
• Textbooks and materials: $50
With deep gratitude,
Blessing

Hope things get better soon, Blessing. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
