Rafael is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Manila Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,200. The registrar has said Rafael can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rafael has a first-class average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rafael would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Rafael isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Manila Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,200 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $540 • Final term tuition: $570 • Exam and lab fees: $50 • Textbooks and materials: $40 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
