Praveen is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at the Chennai Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550. The registrar has said Praveen can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Praveen has a 3.8 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Praveen would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Praveen isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Chennai Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $550 goes: • Final term tuition: $330 • Exam and lab fees: $30 • Outstanding tuition balance: $190 Thank you so much.

Updates from Yamuna

Update from Chennai: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 39% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Small update. $115 so far, I made the first payment toward outstanding tuition balance.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($85 in total) I made the first payment toward outstanding tuition balance. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
