Payal is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an agriculture degree at the Thiruvananthapuram Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $800.
The registrar has said Payal can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Payal has a 3.6 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Payal would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Payal isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $800 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $165
• Final term tuition: $560
• Exam and lab fees: $45
• Textbooks and materials: $30
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Keep going, Anita. Shared this with my family. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.
Hope it all works out, Anita. This could happen to any of us.
Wishing you the best, Anita. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Sending strength. Study hard! My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
