Tuition fund for Juma: a nursing degree at Arusha Community College
Juma is one term away from finishing a nursing degree but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $500.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a nursing degree at Arusha Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $500.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Arusha Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $500 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $25
• Final term tuition: $350
• Outstanding tuition balance: $125
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Stay strong, Juma. Hope you get there
Sending strength, Juma. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Fort Collins this morning. Love from Fort Collins!
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Arusha!
Thank you. If you're in Arusha I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
Stay strong. Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in Istanbul this morning. Love from Istanbul
I hope things turn around soon. After 26 years in logistics I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Greetings from Detroit.
I hope things turn around soon. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
