I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an agriculture degree at Kano Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a delivery rider to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $450.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Kano Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $450 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $160
• Final term tuition: $210
• Exam and lab fees: $10
• Textbooks and materials: $70
Thanks for reading all this.

Sending strength, Juliet. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Juliet!
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. outstanding tuition balance is the biggest at $160. Ask me anything else.
Stay strong. Study hard! I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Kano
You're not alone. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Blessings
