Spanish Town
Jasmine is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at Spanish Town State College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,000. The registrar has said Jasmine can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Jasmine has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Jasmine would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Jasmine isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Spanish Town State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,000 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $560 • Final term tuition: $300 • Exam and lab fees: $40 • Textbooks and materials: $100 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
