Janani is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at Siliguri University, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $200.
The registrar has said Janani can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Janani has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Janani would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Janani isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $200 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $20
• Exam and lab fees: $25
• Final term tuition: $155
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hang in there, Vignesh. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
thanks for sharing this. Study hard! After 21 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Sending strength, Vignesh. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Thinking of Siliguri.
