Agus is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Jakarta State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $800. The registrar has said Agus can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Agus has a 3.6 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Agus would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Agus isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Jakarta State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $800 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $350 • Final term tuition: $410 • Exam and lab fees: $25 • Textbooks and materials: $15 Thanks for being kind about this.

Updates from Kartika

  1. Update from Jakarta: we've started the first stage. We're at 61% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 37% funded and I made the first payment toward final term tuition.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($139 in total) the plan for textbooks and materials is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
