Tornado in Savannah: help the families of Hillcrest Lane rebuild
The tornado damaged 72 homes in the families of Hillcrest Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The tornado hit the families of Hillcrest Lane on 23 August. My home was one of 72 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $5,800 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,000
• Clean water and purification supplies: $1,100
• Food parcels for displaced families: $540
• Tools and labor for repairs: $2,160
Glad we found this place.

Hope things get better soon. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
good luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Savannah.
Hope you get there. Love from Nashik.
