The Union community hall needs a youth football pitch - Vishal's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Mumbai are raising $150 for a youth football pitch at the Union community hall.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 378 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $150 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $45
• Permits and inspections: $50
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Thanks for sharing this, Vishal. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Spanish Town so I could bring a meal. Love from Lviv.
great idea, hope you get there. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
