The Union community hall needs a youth football pitch - Nabirye's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 326 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Materials: $220 • Permits and inspections: $15 • Safety equipment and signage: $40 • Tools hire and delivery: $75 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
