The Shevchenko family fled Somalia - help them rebuild in Boulogne-Billancourt
After fleeing Somalia, the Shevchenko family has arrived in Boulogne-Billancourt with little more than their documents. They need help with a deposit, furniture and the first months.

My family left Somalia 8 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Boulogne-Billancourt. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in December.
I was an electrician in Somalia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Boulogne-Billancourt Refugee Support Network, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $1,050
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $280
• Language classes and bus passes: $320
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Best of luck. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Paris.
Wishing you peace. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Saint Paul donated after I showed her your page. Love from Saint Paul.
