The Sahin family fled Ukraine - help them rebuild in Machakos
After fleeing Ukraine, the Sahin family has arrived in Machakos with little more than their documents. They need help with a deposit, furniture and the first months.

My family left Ukraine 13 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Machakos. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in September.
I was an electrician in Ukraine, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Machakos Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $750 goes:
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $105
• Rent deposit and first month: $470
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $175
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Keep going. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Machakos.
Sending strength. Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Machakos.
