Newcastle upon Tyne
My family left Sudan 9 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Newcastle upon Tyne. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in October. I was an engineer in Sudan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $2,700 goes: • Rent deposit and first month: $1,150 • Beds, table and basic furniture: $620 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $350 • Language classes and bus passes: $470 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $110 Every share and every dollar helps. - Benjamin
