The old Union bus depot needs a skate park - Aarón's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $2,450 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Union bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,450.
It will serve about 369 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Materials: $1,900
• Permits and inspections: $140
• Safety equipment and signage: $95
• Tools hire and delivery: $315

Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless!
thinking of you and your family, Aarón. Your post was clear and honest.
Hope things get better soon, Aarón. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out
Take care, Aarón. This could happen to any of us. Sent it to 39 people at work.
Keep going, Aarón. More neighborhoods should do this. Wish I lived closer to San Jose so I could bring a meal.
