The Okonkwo family fled Venezuela - help them rebuild in Stockholm
After fleeing Venezuela, the Okonkwo family has arrived in Stockholm with little more than their documents. They need help with a deposit, furniture and the first months.

My family left Venezuela 6 months ago after the war reached our town. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Stockholm. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in October.
I was a nurse in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Stockholm Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $4,900 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $2,350
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $1,500
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $430
• Language classes and bus passes: $510
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $110
With deep gratitude,
Hugo

praying for you, Hugo. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.
