Help a family of 7 start their new life in Portland: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Myanmar 5 months ago after the war reached our town. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Portland. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in October.
I was an engineer in Myanmar, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,400
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $730
• Language classes and bus passes: $320
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Keep going, Gerald. Shared this with my family. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Mobile.
