The Mukiza family fled Afghanistan - help them rebuild in Duisburg
Help a family of 5 start their new life in Duisburg: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Afghanistan 13 months ago after the conflict closed our school and clinic. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Duisburg. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in August.
I was a nurse in Afghanistan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Duisburg Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Language classes and bus passes: $270
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $520
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,310
Every share and every dollar helps.
